English is very important nowadays. English language is a world language. In fact, most text books that we used or reference books are mostly in English. In Malaysia, the Ministry of Education have change the syllabus for Mathematics and Science subject from Malay to English. It will help students in their university as in universities, we will learn in English. As i am going to study abroad, English is very important for me to survive there. In Uniten, I took IELTS to help me with my study there. IELTS can be divided into few part which are writing, reading, speaking and listening. I have tried few ways to improve myself in all four skills.
Writing skill is one of the hardest part of the test. Writing involved few components which are grammar, sentence structure, vocabulary and the content. Without all these skill and component, we cannot get good marks for writing. So, to improve my writing, i read a lot of material to get the knowledge. Reading lots of material helped us to get the idea to write if we are given certain topic. This will help to put additional example or information in our essay. I started reading English books since I was in standard six. I think it really did help me to write. It helped me to familiarized with new words and sentence structure. Sometimes when I went to the hospital, i love to read the magazines provided, such as Health Today. My favourite author since i was in primary school is R.L Stine as he loves to write thriller and horror stories. The language being used is not that simple or too hard to understand. Beside that, doing lots of practice helped me to improve my essay writing. Doing lots of exercise help me to discipline and time myself to finish the essays in required time.
Reading is all about understanding the passage given and answering the question given referring to the passage. I did some practice to help me understand and familiarized with the pattern of questions. In reading, time is very important. It takes time for me to understand the passage as to me, the language being used is quite difficult to understand. To help me to understand the passage better, i referred to the dictionary if i could not guess or catch the meaning of a sentence. Doing lots of exercise helped me to time myself so that i can answer the questions in time provided.
In my opinion, speaking is the most crucial part. Speaking is very hard to score. That's because in Malaysia, we did not use English as the first language. We used Malay in our daily life. We are more fluent with Malay than English. Most of us nowadays are afraid of being tease when speaking English. It has been a culture among our people to tease those who speak English. This kind of culture should not happen as this will discourage people to speak English. I improved my speaking by using English in my daily life. At my house, we used English sometime as we talked and chit chatting among siblings. It helped me to improve my speaking skills a lot. Watching television helped me to learn how to pronounce words. Sometime i used Yahoo Messenger to interact with other people. I always go to the regional chat room. I can interact with people from all over the world. I think it helped me to communicate with them as we used English as we chatted. Most of them are from Australia and India.
For listening skills, I improved myself by listening to radio and watching television. As I am offered to further my study at Australia or New Zealand, i watched the television series from Australia, McLeod's Daughters. It helped me to familiarized my self to their dialect and pronunciation. This will automatically helped me when i did listening exercise in class as the person in recorded tape used their dialect to speak. Listening to mix. FM and Hitz.FM helped me to improve my listening while enjoying myself listening to music. Doing exercise and some practice in listening helped me too a lot. I used the website given by Miss Eliza to do online listening practice.
I really hope that i can improved myself in all English skills as it will help me in the university. May all my effort will give a good result.

mY eid eXpErieNce....
When I arrived at my grandparents house, it was second last day of fasting before the Eid. I went to the 'Bazar Ramadhan' to look for some food to break fast. My uncle bought Nasi Beriani and we ate together during the break fasting. During night, all the women and girls gathered at the kitchen to prepare the ingredients to cook for the Eid. I helped to prepare ketupat before it is being cook on the next day. At 9.30 at night, my grandmother, my aunt and i watched 'Susuk' as it was the last episode. It was interesting and i was very happy watching it with my family.
On Friday, we cooked everything we need for the Eid. My grandmother cooked lots of dishes for the Eid which are ketupat, lepat, rendang, samba lodeh, chicken curry, chicken with soy sauce, and sambal kacang. My cousins, my siblings, my mom and aunt help my gandmother at the kitchen as she is not feeling very well. My aunt have to buy oxygen machine to help her breath when she cannot breath well. I was sad to see her when she is not well. We cooked together and it was fun. I don't even get the chance to take bath for the whole day as we were so busy in the kitchen. Hehehe.... It has been tradition for years to send some ketupat and dishes to our relatives before the Eid. We called it ' Berkat'. That's why we have to cooked early, so that we can send it to them.We finished cooking in the evening. My aunt and my uncle helped to send the dishes to our relatives. I slept quite late to prepare for the Eid. My cousins and siblings played firecracker during night of eid.
All of us got up early in the morning of Eid. All the men went to the mosque for Eid's prayer. The rest helped to clean the house before our guests came to our house. I didn't get the chance to go to mosque as I have to put all the kuih raya on the table and prepare foods for our guests. All of us looked beautiful with our new baju kurung and baju melayu. Before the guests arrived, we took pictures and shaked hands and asked for forgiveness with each other. It was the saddest part of the day. I almost cried when i watched my parents and grandparents cried. We had our breakfast with ketupat and all the dishes. I enjoyed eating ketupat with sambal kacang and rendang so much. It was marvellous and so delicious. Then, our relatives arrived. Most of them are my granparents siblings. They are closed as my grandparents took care of them since they were young. My grandfather have 9 younger sisters and brothers. I got some duit raya from them. My grandparents and aunts gave lots of duit raya to me. My parents gave me RM60 as my duit raya. hehehe
On the second day of Eid, my family went to visit our relatives while my aunt stayed at home to help my grandmother. We went to few houses as we seldomly meet them. In the afternoon we went home and our relatives still came for a visit. It was a busy day for us. On the next day, my family and i prepared to went back to our house at Terengganu. It was fun celebrating Eid there. At the same time i was very worried with all my assignments and final exam that is coming two weeks after the Eid.
That is all my Eid experience. I enjoyed myself and it was one of memorable moments of my life. I will never forget this event.

Cells are the fundamental working units of every living system. All the instructions needed to direct their activities are contained within the chemical DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid).
DNA from all organisms is made up of the same chemical and physical components. The DNA sequence is the particular side-by-side arrangement of bases along the DNA strand (e.g., ATTCCGGA). This order spells out the exact instructions required to create a particular organism with its own unique traits.
The genome is an organism’s complete set of DNA. Genomes vary widely in size: the smallest known genome for a free-living organism (a bacterium) contains about 600,000 DNA base pairs, while human and mouse genomes have some 3 billion. Except for mature red blood cells, all human cells contain a complete genome. Each chromosome contains many genes, the basic physical and functional units of heredity. Genes are specific sequences of bases that encode instructions on how to make proteins. Genes comprise only about 2% of the human genome; the remainder consists of noncoding regions, whose functions may include providing chromosomal structural integrity and regulating where, when, and in what quantity proteins are made. The human genome is estimated to contain 20,000-25,000 genes.
Genes are being transfered from parents to their next generation. That is why most of us will have the same criteria from our family, whether our parents or grandparents or other previous generation. Genes helped us to identify someone. The most recent case is the one involving the late Nurin Jazlin Jazimin. She has been missing for a month and her family have been looking for er everywhere. THen, during September, a body was found in a bag, however no claimed the body or even recognized it. Nurin's parents were asked to see whether it was their daughter. They denied it as the body did not looked like their daughter. A DNA test was carried out and it has proven that it was Nurin's body. It was the worse case ever in MAlaysia and it attracts everyone attention. This case proved that DNA test help a lot in Forensic world and help to investigate crime.
In my opinion, photography is a wonderful time full of creativity and discovery. Photography can be treated as a hobby to fill your leisure time. At my previous school, we have a photography club. By joining the club, we learn how to capture pictures and make a video. To me, it is an interesting things to do. As I joined the club, I learn how to used digital camera and other types of camera. I learn how to capture scenery picture and potrait. Photos and videos can help us a lot including recording an event. Photography can also be a good career.Nowadays, photography is also used in crime scene investigation. People sometime used professional photographer to take pictures in certain occasionsuch as wedding ceremony.

Transport and Tourism
Transport is very important for us to travel. Transport also help ur to communicate with people. Transport and tourism have a strong relation. Whenever we heard about tourism, we will also hear about transport. There many type of transportations such as boat, motocar, bicycle, train and others. Transportation nowadays have developed so much. It have changed a lot compared to the old days. During the old days, we only have bicycle, train, boat and small car. However, as the world developed, many new transport is being created such as shuttle and lots of other transport.
Transport is related to tourism. If the transportation in one place is poor, then the tourism will also going down. That's because if there is no good transport, it will be hard for people to travel. Road also being considered as transport. If we have car, but there is no road, then it will be useless.
In Malaysia, our tourism sector have developed well as we have new roads, highways and our public transportation is not so bad. As KLIA was built, more aircraft can land there. KLIA have become an international airport and one of the largest airport. Tourists from all over the world come and visit our country anytime they want.

Space, Developments That wiLL aFFect OuR FutUrE and ReseArcH PaperS

Another research have been done few years back by scientists. It have been found that human may have the chance to live at Mars. According to their research, Mars have the similarities with Earth and human might be able to live there as they said that Earth is dying. However we haven't know whether this is true or not yet. Research is still being done to proof whether it is true or not.
Beside space, biotechnology also have been going through some development. Indeed, the modern world went through the “physics revolution” that saw the birth of nuclear power and the “chemical revolution” that lead to the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. And now it is the biology revolution. Biotechnology now plays a central role in developing medicine and other therapies, understanding diseases, forensics, improving animal and plant production, increasing industry effectiveness, environmental monitoring and developing alternatives to fossil fuels. Some aspects of biotechnology are very contentious. Genetically modified food, use of animals in research, stem cell development and cloning hog the headlines. These technologies may be unsafe with risks to us or the environment. There are sometimes serious conflicts with society’s beliefs.Still, biotech is the current buzz and the definite wave of the future. It is seen as the technology to “heal, feed and fuel” the world. There is a huge “biotech war” shaping up globally with much money being poured into this arena. Malaysia has also plunged into the global marketplace with the launch of the National Biotech Policy on April 28, 2005. The Malaysian Biotechnology Corporation is the facilitator for our biotech ecosystem. They will also look into creating commercial opportunities; providing funding and industry development services; and advancing research and development and commerce in agriculture biotechnology, healthcare biotechnology and industrial biotechnology. The National Biotechnology Policy is to be implemented in three phases that would eventually see Malaysia as a global biotech player with 20 global icons by 2020.
Malaysia have lunched MEASAT-3 a year ago. Launched on Dec 12, 2006, from the Baikonur Cosmodrome, Kazakhstan, the MEASAT-3 satellite had undergone extensive in-orbit tests conducted by 15 Boeing space engineers stationed on-site at the MEASAT Teleport and Broadcast Centre. MEASAT chief operating officer Paul I. Brown-Kenyon said the successful deployment of MEASAT-3 at the 91.5 degree east orbital location boosted the company's satellite capacity by over 300 percent while extending the network to 110 countries, representing 70 percent of the world's population.Through MEASAT-3, RTM channels would be able to broadcast to 110 countries across Asia, Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa from 25 countries currently.

What does it mean with communication? Communication can be divide into few categories. Talking and interact with people is also called communicate. Communication is one of the most important thing in our daily life. Communication will help us to interact with people.Communication is the process of establishing meaning, found in all social situations, and hence a very wide-ranging concern of social scientists generally. It is conventionally studied by social psychologists, semiologists, students of mass media, and linguists, communication studies has increasingly become established as a field of inquiry in its own right (for example in Communications Departments), and is often allied to cultural studies.
Communication helps those involved in business world. Nowadays, people used the Internet to sell items and their goods. For those who are not interested in going outside and go to shoping mall or store, they prefer to purchase online. Besides, online shopping is much easier and efficient. People who involved in online business have more advantages than those who did not use the Internet. One of them is, they will have much wider market as online is worldwide. Everyone will know about one's product as they surf the Net. Through the internet, they can make an order or booking for items that they want to purchase.
Other than that, some people do business through advertisement in the television as almost everyone have a television at their house. So, it will be easy for the bussinessman to spread and inform everybody about their business. For example, one of the most famous airline, Air Asia. Nowadays, we can book ticket through the Net or just give them a call to make a reservation. we can get cheaper price if we booked online.

Education and Learning....

When we talked about education, it is related to learning process. Learning process never ends. As long as we live, the process keep going. There are lots of learning process. The basic skills in learning is reading, writing and counting. As we grow up, the higher stage of education we will go through. It will get harder and there's no doubt about it. I, as a student have to agree with that. But, as people said, there is nothing easy in this life. So, whatever it is, we have to try to overcome the hardship. As all the hardship will make us be someone. In Malaysia, children will start formal education at seven years old in primary school starting with standard one until standard six. Then, they will move to secondry school for five years. After that, they will move to the universities or collages.
To me, the challenge begin in university. I said so as i am in university now and i found that there is lots of difference between school and university. In school, we are given everything and the teachers will help us even if we don't ask for help. There is always people looking after us in school. However, it is different in the university. Here, the lecturer will just give us the knowledge and teach us on the subject. Then, the rest is up to us whether we want to study or not. If we have problems in their subject, we must make our own effort to solve it. Whether we seek help from our friends, or get the information on the net or library. We can go to lecturer individually and asked for their help.
In learning process, the learning capacity is important. The smaller the capacity, the more effective our leraning process. If we look through, in schools the learning capacity per class is just about 20 to 30 students. but, in university it is almost 100 of students in the lecture hall. Students sometime are very hard to predict and control. A number of students might be fooling around and disturb others. This situation will effect the process of learning.
There are few ways that can help us in our study. Study group can help a lot. It will allow us to discuss on the subject and especially for the subject that we are not good at. Our friends can help to make us understand and tackle the problem. However, before starting a group, we must identify the member of the group. We should find those who really want to study even they are not really good in study, at least they are working hard for success. If those who are not really serious in study are in the group, the study group will not be effective..
Mindmapping can also help in our study. It will help us to memorise. Mindmap is only done after we read and understand the content of the text or anything that we read.

I hAvE a dReaM
Dream is something that someone have been wanting so badly and hope to achieve it somehow. It does not matter if our dream is something big, fantastic or anything. Having dreams is a must for everybody. If we have dreams, then we will have our life goal. A goal in life will help us to move and step forward. It is good to have a dream. At least, we know what we want. Dream can help us to improve our life and dream makes our life become meaningful and not empty. But somehow, it is not good to day dream or dreaming something that is impossible to achieve. It is better to dream something that we can achieve eventhough we have to get through lots of obstacle to get to it.
Like i said, everybody have dreams and so do i. I have dreams too.....
I have a dream to finish my study with flying colours. I wish i can finish my degree at overseas university which is something that i've been waiting in my entire life. Studying abroad will help me to improve my life. It will be a life experience if i am able to fulfill my dream. I will learn a lot about life and help me to be independent.
I have a dream to be a good teacher. I would like to contribute to my nation and pay back all the money that Malaysia's citizen have paid in order to finish my study. I'm going to teach disabled children and i know how challenging job it is. I wish i can prove to the whole world that disabled people can also live and do what normal people can do. I want to show the world that disabled people not only have to be appreciate but also given chance to show their ability and be a successful people just like others.
I wish that i can be a useful person to the world, family and my nation. I hope i can help my own people and improve their life in whatever way i can. So that finally i can help to defend my country and protect our independence. i'm proud to be Malaysian and i hope each one of us feel the same way. i'm very greatful to be born here and live in this peaceful country. I hope that our country will not be colonized again. So, let's work together and protect our country from being colonized by other people...
And my last word, dream would be meaningless without courage......

Greenhouse effect

It is caused by the increasing of carbon dioxide, water vapour and methane that is caused by pollution. Carbon dioxide is released by human as they exhaled and also produced when open burning happened. It is human nature to exhale carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide will increased the earth's temperature. However, greenery such as plants and trees produced oxygen which will balanced the earth's temperature and produced oxygen for human respiration. Unfortunately, nowadays deforestation is happening widely all over the world. Beside that, erosion also happened when there's no longer trees and root to support the soil from sliding.
Greenhouse effect will caused global warming. Climate change can negatively affect the earth's delicate ecosystems. Global warming has been linked to dyingcoral reefs, dangerous new weather patterns and the extinction of plant and animal species.
Many people refer to global warming as a crisis. It is a common misconception that there is nothing an individual can do to abate global warming. One of the best ways to prevent further increase of greenhouse gases is to reduce their emissions. Changing individual consumption patterns may be one of the most effective ways of doing this. Most energy in the Malaysia is produced by the burning of fossil fuels. By reducing our individual use of energy derived from fossil fuels, we can contribute to reduced emissions.Another method for reducing greenhouse gases is to increase their uptake by the environment. This can be done by stimulating the increase of photosynthetic production by primary producers. For this reason there has been a large movement to promote planting trees and restoring forests. However, because trees grow so slowly, this is not a highly effective method of abatement. Therefore scientists are also investigating ways to stimulate phytoplankton growth in the oceans.

Different Aspects of Culture( Tai Chi)
Tai chi chuan (Traditional Chinese: 太極拳; Simplified Chinese: 太极拳; Hanyu Pinyin: tàijíquán; Wade-Giles: t'ai chi ch'üan) is an internal Chinese martial art often practiced with the aim of promoting health and longevity. Tai chi always perform during morning at park by the chinese as we can see nowadays. Tai chi's training forms are well known as slow motion. Some medical studies support its effectiveness as an alternative exercise and a form of martial arts therapy. Tai chi is considered a soft style martial art, applied with internal power to distinguish its theory and application from that of the hard martial art styles.
The Mandarin term translate tai chi as super ultimate boxing or boundless fist.Since the first widespread promotion of tai chi's health benefits in the early twentieth century, it has developed a worldwide following among people with little or no interest in martial training for its benefit to health and health maintenance. Some call it a form of moving meditation, as focusing the mind solely on the movements of the form purportedly helps to bring about a state of mental calm and clarity. Besides general health benefits and stress management attributed to tai chi training, aspects of Traditional Chinese medicine are taught to advanced tai chi students in some traditional schools.
The physical techniques of tai chi are described in the tai chi classics as being characterized by the use of leverage through the joints based on coordination in relaxation, rather than muscular tension, in order to neutralize or initiate attacks. The slow, repetitive work involved in the process of learning how that leverage is generated gently and measurably increases and opens the internal circulation (breath, body heat, blood, lymph, peristalsis, etc.). The study of tai chi involved three subjetc which are meditation, martial art and health. An unhealthy or otherwise uncomfortable person will find it difficult to meditate to a state of calmness or to use tai chi as a martial art. Tai chi's health training therefore concentrates on relieving the physical effects of stress on the body and mind. For those focused on tai chi's martial application, good physical fitness is the first step in effective self-defense. The focus and calmness cultivated by the meditative aspect of tai chi is seen as necessary in maintaining optimum health and in application of the form as a soft style martial art.
What is the benefit of doing tai chi?
Tai chi insignificantly effects on the promotion of balance control, flexibility and cardiovascular fitness and reduced the risk of falls in elderly patients. Tai chi can also help to reduce pain, stress and anxiety. The sow movement in tai chi will help you feel relieved and feel much better if you are in stress. Tai chi helped to improve cardiovascular and respiratory function in healthy subjects as well as those who had undergone coronary artery bypass surgery. Patients that suffer from heart failure, high blood pressure, heart attacks, arthritis, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's, and Alzheimer's may also benefit from tai chi. Besides, T'ai Chi's gentle, low impact movements burn more calories than surfing and nearly as many as downhill skiing.

Work, Attitudes and Beliefs, and Social Changes

People work nowadays to get money and support themselves. Working and finding job is a must in order to survive. Lots of problem and new thing occur in the working field. Different type of work will have different problem or issue. If we look back, years ago feminism happened in most place in the whole world. feminism is technically the pursual of equal rights between the genders. At one point, femininism had the uppermost importance in Western society, when women were still denied the right to vote, to hold positions of importance or present any opinion. But in modern Britain women are, in general, accepted; after the presence of a woman as Prime Minister, and with women being found as commonly in most professions as men.
Working is not easy. Some people might find themselves overworked because of tans of work are given at a time. Actually, it depends in which sector and what field are they in. Some people might found that their job and what they did is interesting. So, they will never feel bored or exhausted even they were given lots of tasks. There are also people who love to give their job to other people. It seems that nowadays people would rather push these people who need help onto others, who are in most cases overworked and dis -illusioned by the buercrocaey of local government who instead of nipping the problem in the bud and helping these people get back on their feet try to find ways in which they can vindicate themeselves of any possible responsibility.
Most people do not satisfy with their salaries as some time they have to do extra work and stay at the office until midnight. These case always happen to those work in private sector. For those who work in government sector, they sholu be thankful to the government as they only have to work during office hour. They don't have to stay at their office for a long time. They must know that their salary are being paid by using the citizen's money. So, appreciate what already be given. It's good enough that you get your salary every month rather than didn't get anything...
Money (Financial Matters) and Natural Resources

It is true enough to say that 'money makes the world go round' because the world nowadays simply cannot function without money. Without money, there will never be business and so many other things. Almost everything nowadays is based on money. If you don't have money, you cannot eat. If you don't have money, you cannot further your study. It works as if we cannot do anything unless we have money. Have we ever think for a second , how to get lots of money? For students and children, have we ever know how our parents got all the money to support us?
It is easy to say that we won't have moner if we don't earn it. Is it that easy? In my opinion, it's not easy to find money. Working is one of the solution but it need lots of gut and resp0nsibility. We as students should know how to manage money that are given to us, which is by our parents or the sponsor. We have to remember that it's not our money but others. We have to use the money beneficially. We can do so by having our own budget for each month for example. Budget will help us to control our expenditure.
In my own experience, money is one of the most difficult thing to manage. Some time when we go somewhere and look at lots of item that we like, we will have the desire to have it. We will never realize whether we are following our budget or not. The money will just flow like a river especially when there's sale. So, let's control ourselves and try to manage our money as wise as possible. Buy what we need, not what we want. Like a saying, think before you buy......
The world is facing problems with the natural resources especially with oil. Day by day, many people used oil to move around with their transport. the need for petroleum is increasing while the resource is decreasing. How are we going to solve this? The world have found ways to overcome the problems. Scientists all over the world is trying to invent motocars that use solar power instead of petrol. There are also public transpotation that used electric source to work. In Malaysia, lots of dam are built to provide water during drought season and to generate electricity which we called hydroelectric power. In conclusion, we have to take care of our mother EArth and used all the resource we have wisely or else we just make a waste of it.

The Way People Live Together and Share of the World's Resources

In my opinion, our country Malaysia is just like a 'Batik'. I describe Malaysia as Batik because Malaysians are from different races. Such as Malays, Indian, Chinese and many more. Batik will not look nice n beautiful if there are some colour or pattern missing. It also describe Malaysia. Our country will not be the way it is without all the races living on the land in the country. Our country is a peaceful and harmonious place to live. As we can see, even the foreigner loves to stay here. But why? Have we ever wonder why all these people like our country so much?
Malaysia is a very unique country. Malaysia's citizens are friendly and well-mannered. It is quite easy for everyone from different races to mingle around. Unlike in the US before this where they cannot get along with each other especially between the white and black. We can see the gap where sometime black is being descriminate in their own country. I have seen many black people at Malaysia. Some of them even have bought a house here. So, what does this tell you?
I am so greatful to be Malaysian. People in Malaysia work together as a team in whatever we do especially when it comes to development or achieving something. The nearest example is here at the UNITEN. Students here are from different races and background. However, they still can work together and learn together to get good marks in exam. They become friends even they have different religion. Another example is our ministers. The ministers in Malaysia are not only Malays but there are also chinese and Indian. The government always alert with the citizen's needs. They will try to help those who need help epecially those in destitute and the poor one.
In general, Malaysian people can be divide into two according to their environment which are countryside and the city. The lifestyle for each of them are different. I have to say, if you want to know the real Malaysia, it is better to go to the counryside as you can find the real, pure Malaysian here. People at the countryside are much more friendly and co-operative. They care for each other a lot. They know and understand each other very well. Sometime they exchange food and held what we called kenduri in order to build stronger bond among them. The rich help the poor.
Unlike people in the city, most of them doesn't even know who is their neighbour. People in the city are very busy with their work. They do not have time to get to know their nighbours. To me, it is not good because neighbour can help you when you need help. We have to build strong relationship with people around us.
Overall, i would like to state that unity is very important to keep our country in peace. I am proud to be Malaysian.

Exercise, Health and Nutrition

Health is very important in one's life. Do we ever know what does health mean?Well, health is the level of functional or metabolic efficiency of an organism at both the micro and macro level. In the medical field, health is commonly defined as an organism's ability to efficiently respond to challenges and effectively restore and sustain a "state of balance," known as homeostasis. Some people said that health is only related to science or more to medicine field. But it is ompletely wrong. Health also depends on individual besides science.
Physical fitness, weight loss, a healthy diet, stress management and other substance abuse are some factor that effect one's health. Physical fitness is very important to have a healthy life. What is physical fitness actually means? It means any performance that involved some physical activity. Exercise doesn't mean that you have to do heavy exercise. Simple movement also work to maintain physical fitness. Regular exercises play important role to prevent some disease affluence. Exercises can be divide into three groups which are aerobic exercise, anaerobic and flexibility exercise. Each exercise gives different effect for us. For example, flexibility exercise such as walking and strolling focus on increasing cardiovascular endurance. We don't have to spend the whole morning or evening to exercise. 30 minutes a day is enough for individual if we do it continously.
Nutrition is related to diet and state of health and disease. There is a saying. 'you are what you eat'. However, do we really know what type of food should we eat and what type of food should be avoided? One of the best ways to have a healthy living is by having a balanced diet. There are five major food groups which are carbohydrate, protein, vitamins, fat and starch. Carbohydrate helps to give energy to do our daily activity. For example, bread, potatoes, and rice are carbohydrate. Meanwhile, protein helps to build new cells. Meat, fish, chicken, nuts are protein. Protein can also replaced carbohydrate's function which is to give energy. Another food group, vitamins. There are many type of vitamin had been found. For example, vitamin A,B,C,D,E and K. There are many type of food that can provide vitamin such as vegetables, fruits, limp and many more. Meanwhile, fat also provide energy and help to protect internal organs such as heart. It also help to heat our body during cold situation. The example for fat are cheese, egg, sweets and others. Actually, any food groups may change to fat if they were taken without any control. This may caused overweight if we didn't control our diet. Avoid junk food and fast food caused they are not good for health. Junk food contain lots of MSG.
In a nutshell, we must take good care of our health to have a happy living. i have to say that health living also depends on the way we handle stress.

My Experience at Uniten and as PPOU Student
My full name is Nurdiyana bt. Abd Halim. I am from Besut, Terengganu. I am under MOE sponsor. My major is special education. Before I came here,I was under MARA sponsor. I was studying for pharmacy doing A Level Program. When I first came here, I was kind of happy to see the environment as it is better than my previous college which is Kolej Teknologi Timur at Sepang. I was surprised to see how big UNITEN is. In my opinion, the environment here is suitable to study and get lots of experience on how the environment at overseas.
After I have registered here, i felt awkward as i don't have any friends here at that time. But then, after i had known about my roomate,i found that it's not that hard to find new friends. At the same time, i'm quite surprised that all of us who registered that day are second intake. We start our class on the next day. I find it so hard to catch up with other students as i have missed one chapter for each subject. I felt like crying during my first day as PPOU student. It was so hard and i never imagine that i would feel so down and in tense.
The most important of all, i was quite dissapointed that i don't learn biology here. Before I accept the offer, the MOE had promised that i will learn biology as my major is special education. From the beginning, i choose this course because of biology. I love biology a lot but right now, we don't learn biology but physic instead. I'm still wondering about the biology subject.
Since i came here, i never had enough rest. All of us have to studyand catch up. this situation give us lots of pressure. But i have promised to myself that i will try my best and push to the limit to get good marksin any test or quiz.
